Rockford IT is pleased to announce it has been shortlisted for Best Green Business at the Shropshire Business Awards for the second year running.The Shropshire Business Awards celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, establishing itself as the biggest event on the county’s corporate calendar and giving companies within the region the chance to celebrate their achievements.
The ‘Best Green Business’ award looks to reward companies who take a proactive approach to environmental issues and promote a ‘green’ culture. Criteria includes evidence of clear and carefully monitored environmental policies, cost and efficiency savings from reduced waste and energy, and the sharing of best practice throughout the business and for its customers. Rockford IT has been recognised as exceeding in standard environmental expectations, throughout its eco-friendly data centre and its strict recycling
and paperless policy in its office.
Following on from being shortlisted in the awards last year, Rockford has gone on to improve its carbon footprint further, through its virtualised server offerings, its support for the ‘Trees 4 Business’ campaign, and its use of entirely 100% renewable energy throughout its office and data centre.
