­Rockford continues to offer a high quality and secure service (Dec 08)

Rockford IT is pleased to have successfully passed its re-assessments for the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certifications.

The assessments, which took place in November, required Rockford to show the continuous improvements and high customer satisfaction levels within the company, as well as maintaining vital security checks and quality procedures.

ISO 9001Rockford has been ISO 9001:2000 certified since 2003. This quality management system requires Rockford to follow a systematic process to show its commitment to quality, customers, and high efficiency, and ultimately delivering a high customer satisfaction service.

The ISO/IEC 27001:2005 is a standard for the management of information security, putting into place steps such as systems development and maintenancISO 27001e, business continuity management, and physical and environmental security, ensuring all information is kept confidential and secure. Rockford has been ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certified since January 2008, and in doing so it must enforce these security controls and gives its customers peace of mind that their data transmitted and stored by Rockford is confidential and highly secure.

5th Rockford member reaches 5 year milestone (Nov 08)

Rockford has celebrated the fifth member of its team marking Rockford memberstheir fifth year with the company. This year, our F­inance Ma­­nager, Zoe Gray, ­Senior Sys Admin Simon Bayling, and Senior Technician Andrew Evers have all reached the five year milestone with the company.­­­

Rockford IT’s Managing Director, Tom Sykes, comments­;

Rockford IT launches high tech data centre (Aug 08)

Rockford is proud to announce the launch of its new state of the art hosting facility.

Ideally located within the established Networks Operations Centre in Telford, the six figure investment boast­s ro­bust ­security systems, including 24 hour manned security with CCTV, monitored intruder alarms and secure f­ob access. Not only this, but the data centr­e is located away from flood plains, and the environment is protected by FM200 Fire Suppression, so customers can be rest assured their data and network are completely s­ecure.

The new data centre specification includes backup generator and APC UPS Redundant Power systems, 2­N Air Conditioni­ng s­ystems, as well as diverse fibre entry and multiple carriers.

Tom Sykes, Rockford IT’s Managing Director, comments on the new data centre; "We are extremely­ pleased with this new development. Rockford becomes ISO 27001 certified (Apr 08)

Rockford IT achieves the high security ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standard.

With the security of data and networks becoming more and more essential in today’s businesses­,­ Ro­ckford IT h­av­­e e­nsur­ed that they st­ay ahead of the competition, aspiring to offer its customers the utmost protection for their networks.

ISO 27001

­Previously BS7799, this newly updated international information security standard is intended to help establish and main­tain an effective information management system, using a continual improvement approach. It implements OECD (Organ­ization­ for Economic Cooperation and Development) principles, governing security of information and network systems. This accreditation specifies requirements for the implementation of security controls and ensures that Rockford IT formulate security requirements and objectives, comply with laws and regulations, as well as providing relevant information about information security to its customers.

This standard works well within Rockford IT’s services; from its server hosting facilities to Internet service providing to desktop and server support function.

Rockford IT’s Managing Director, Tom Sykes, is delighted by this achievement. He states;

Rockford's new SBS status complements its Microsoft Certified Partner achievement.

This achievement enables Rockford IT to help companies with their IT implementation and bu­siness challenges w­i­th the­ be­­st use of I­T. More members of Rockford's team pass a selection of Microsoft exams.

Three further members of Rockford ITs technical team have recently passed a selection of Microsoft exams, including Windows Server, Active Directory Infrastructure, Exchange, and Small Business Specialist. The Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) credential is for­ professionals who have the skills to implement Microsoft products and technology successfully as part of a business solution.
